MakerFest 2026
Do you have something you’re passionate about? Something you build, develop, design or create – using your hands, your mind and your professional skills?
Then become an exhibitor at MakerFest on 9-10 September 2026 and help give young people an experience that could spark an interest in your craft, profession or industry.
MakerFest is a two-day learning festival for schools and upper secondary education, where teaching moves out of the classroom and into workshops, laboratories and creative tents in the forest at AU Herning.
Why take part?
Be present where curiosity begins and where great questions are asked. Inspire young people and show what your profession looks like in practice.
By taking part, you will help to:
- give students hands-on experiences with technology, craftsmanship, innovation and problem-solving
- spark curiosity about your profession and the career paths it can lead to
- show what your work is really about – at eye level and through practical activities
- inspire young people to explore education and career opportunities they may not have known existed
You will also become part of a community of companies and educational institutions who – like you – are passionate about inspiring and engaging the next generation.
As an exhibitor, you will:
- staff your tent on both days between 9.00 and 14.00
- fill the tent with whatever you would like to showcase
- prepare an activity that everyone can take part in (for example 3D printing, a small building challenge, tastings, team activities, a sewing station or something similar)
- book stage time if you would like to share more about your profession or projects
Your activity doesn’t need to be large or complex. The most important thing is that students get the chance to try things for themselves.
Prices for tents/stage time
Extra tents available at DKK 5,000 + VAT. Other practical details
