Powering hydrogen cars with solar and wind energy
Powering hydrogen cars with solar and wind energy

Solar and wind power account for an ever-growing share of Denmark’s electricity consumption. But what happens when the sun doesn’t shine, and the wind doesn’t blow?

Join us in building models of the power grid, where solar and wind energy are combined with Power-to-X technology. Discover how surplus green electricity can be turned into hydrogen – either stored for later use or used as fuel to power a hydrogen car.

Test your ‘hydrogen power’ in a fun race. Are you ready to take on the challenge?

Creative solutions with prototypes
Creative solutions with prototypes

How do you turn an idea into a working prototype? As part of their second semester, students from the Bachelor of Engineering in Business Development, BDE study programme at AU Herning have used 3D Lab and MakerStreet to design and develop different prototypes. In their physics classes, they have also taken on a special challenge: designing and building a lift mechanism and competing to create the best solutio

Drop by the BDE tent to learn more about how the students have used laboratories, workshops and equipment to turn ideas into practical solutions. You can also see some of the lift prototypes they have built – and, with a bit of luck, they may still work after being tested to see if they could lift 10 kg.
