Ulmus Craft Cocktails shows you how to:
- make delicious non-alcoholic cocktails.

Creativity takes centre stage at this workshop, where you will use fresh ingredients to make a cocktail syrup. Here you can create unique flavour combinations that can be used to make delicious cocktails at home. The workshop ends with you mixing ingredients for your very own cocktail, followed by a tasting and evaluation of the overall taste experience.

Try ‘The Energy Game’, developed by former students from the Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Energy Technology study programme at AU Herning. Here, you need to find the optimal combination of solar panels and wind turbines to harness the forces of nature as efficiently as possible.
See energy in action on the go with Lucas-Nuelle’s MobileTrain, a mobile teaching kit with a motor, resistor set, and instruments. Here, you can experiment with how different resistances affect the motor’s energy consumption.
More into robots? Try controlling a robot via an HMI screen and see if you can get it to move a block from A to B – using only your programming in Siemens TIA and Ladder logic.

Beautiful sustainable jewellery
Come join ‘Lo-Fi and Tea’ and have a relaxing time making jewellery out of recycled materials. We will be using recycled clothes and jewellery that can be found at any thrift shop. The materials are used to make tassels and pompoms for earrings and decoupage earrings from laser-cut wood.

At the Læringsambassaden og Elværket Skive’ tent, you can design and create your own personalized products using modern technology.
You’ll get the chance to work with a vinyl cutter to make your own designs and stickers, and use a heat press to apply your creations to small tote bags or your own cotton clothing.
Along the way, you’ll learn about the many possibilities of technology, and how it can be used in everyday life – creatively, practically, and playfully!

Virtual Reality (VR) immerses you in a fully digital world through a headset, where everything around you is created with computer graphics – like stepping into a game or a movie. AR, on the other hand, adds a digital layer on top of the real world. Suddenly, the rink can be filled with virtual figures, blending reality and technology. AR can help elite athletes train smarter, e.g. by visualising game strategies on the ice, practicing reactions against virtual opponents or receiving live feedback on movements and shots. This allows players to sharpen their skills and tactics in realistic situations – even during the off-season.

Step into the world of artificial intelligence with a playful twist! In this AI workshop, you’ll train your own mini-AI using Teachable Machine, test its fairness and challenge Google’s Quick Draw game to explore how machines recognise doodles.
You’ll also dive into how bias can sneak into AI – and brainstorm creative ways to use technology ethically and for the greater good. Inspired by project CHARLIE, this activity combines interactive fun with meaningful conversations about the future of AI.

Powering hydrogen cars with solar and wind energy
Solar and wind power account for an ever-growing share of Denmark’s electricity consumption. But what happens when the sun doesn’t shine, and the wind doesn’t blow?
Join us in building models of the power grid, where solar and wind energy are combined with Power-to-X technology. Discover how surplus green electricity can be turned into hydrogen – either stored for later use or used as fuel to power a hydrogen car.

Unleash your creativity and build exciting models with high-tech materials. For example, try assembling your own airplane from laser-cut and 3D-printed parts. Launch it with a 3D-printed slingshot and see if it can fly – and how far it goes.
More into action? Build your own rubber band gun from laser-cut components and challenge your friends to a showdown.
You can also meet students from the Bachelor of Engineering in Business Development, BDE study programme at AU Herning. They’ll be showcasing their own watch and lamp designs – all drawn and manufactured by themselves. Step into Concept Development Lab – a creative workshop packed with cutting-edge machines and endless possibilities. This is where the models from the model workshop come to life.
Here, you can work with both 3D printers and laser cutters to design and create everything from small gadgets to bold prototypes. You can even make your own stickers using a vinyl printer to give your projects a personal touch.
You’ll also get to experience an industrial 3D printer capable of printing objects up to 1.5 meters tall – so you can build creations almost life-size!

Experience ReTent – an innovative tent made from recycled plastic that can help make future festivals more sustainable. The first prototype was developed by students from the Global Management and Manufacturing (GMM) Bachelor of Engineering study programme and tested in collaboration with Smukfest.
